I.Background of the Department of Crop Science
The Department of Crop Science is one of the Departments of the Faculty of Agriculture and Rural Development (FARD) at the College of Agriculture, Animal sciences and Veterinary Medicine (CAVM), University of Rwanda (UR). It is operational since the establishment of the institution .
II. Mission
The Department of Crop Science aims at training competent graduands, carrying out research and community outreach in the domains of Crop Production and Horticulture.
III. Options
Two options are currently operating under the Department of Crop Science: Option of Crop Production and Option of Horticulture.
1. Option of Crop Production
Graduands are provided with a Bachelor Degree with Honours in Crop Production.
2. Option of Horticulture
Graduands are provided with a Bachelor Degree with Honours in Horticulture.
